Senior Manager Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) & SEO (all genders)
Remote anywhere in Austria |
Full-time, 38.5 hours |
from €65,000 gross per year
ABOUT US
Generative engines now give the decisive answer. Whether a brand appears in it is no longer determined by its position in classic search, but by what an AI system has learned, stored and judged trustworthy. That is exactly where ainomics works – under the name aeo (ainomics engine optimization), an approach that treats Generative Engine Optimization, digital consulting, and communications and PR as one loop. aeo continues where classic GEO stops.
THE ROLE
We are looking for someone who commands both levels: classic SEO as a solid technical foundation, and GEO as the field that will decide visibility in the coming years. You own this area across our client projects and develop the aeo approach further together with the managing partners.
No finished roadmap is waiting to be executed – the job is to build one and keep sharpening it.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Own GEO and SEO strategy across client projects, especially in advisory-intensive and YMYL industries such as health, finance and insurance
- Build and run monitoring for AI visibility: where and how brands are mentioned and cited in generative answers, with what sentiment, against which competitors
- Optimize content and technical structure for citability: structured data, entities, source authority, accessibility for AI crawlers
- Senior-level classic SEO: technical audits, content architecture, internal linking, off-page
- Develop aeo further together with the managing partners
- Translate results into business metrics and present them to decision-makers
- Manage external service providers and, as the team grows, lead colleagues in your field
WHAT YOU BRING
- Several years of senior-level SEO experience, including demonstrable hands-on work with generative search and AI visibility
- Technical grounding: rendering, indexing, Core Web Vitals, structured data, log file analysis
- Confident use of Ahrefs or Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, GA4 and BigQuery, as well as AI monitoring tools such as Peec or Profound
- A data-driven approach and the ability to turn numbers into decisions
- Assurance in direct contact with clients and decision-makers
- Autonomy and structure – this is a remote role, and it only works with ownership
- German and English at a professional level (C1 or above)
- Nice to have: Python or SQL, international SEO, experience in health, finance, insurance or tourism

The minimum salary under this agreement for employment group 5 is €3,521.80 gross per month (14 payments per year, as of May 1, 2026). We offer a gross annual salary from €65,000 (14 payments), significantly above this minimum; the actual figure depends on your qualifications and experience and will be discussed openly in the first conversation.
Working hours: 38.5 hours per week, the standard full-time week under the collective agreement. Overtime is paid with the supplements required by law and the collective agreement, or compensated with time off if you prefer; it does not expire and is not absorbed into your base salary. Flextime with no core hours.
Location: Fully remote within Austria; a desk at our office at Berggasse 11/3, 1090 Vienna, is available if you want it. If you live in another EU country, we will assess social security and tax feasibility case by case. We provide all equipment.
